WRINKLE:
The prints can be processed wet or dry. Take a piece of rock print and crumple it up firmly into a little ball – unfold it and assess the result. If you want a fi ner texture, crumple it up again 1-3 times. You can also lightly rub the rock print together between your fingers to make the material malleable. Just trying and testing yourself is the best option here.
INSTALL:
Design and create an appropriate supporting structure using polystyrene/Styrodur boards – roughly cut the boards to the desired mountain shape. Place spots of PVA glue all over the boards, lay out the previously wrinkled rock prints and mould and ease them into the desired shape. If you prefer the rock prints to be self-supporting, the Wrinkle Rocks can be stiffened by glueing 1-3 additional layers of paper to the back. This makes it possible to span larger areas without elaborate substructures.
LANDSCAPE:
The wrinkled surface can be customised by painting and adding vegetation. There are no bare rocks in nature (apart from those recently broken) – you should definitely include moss, areas of pasture, boulders, bushes, mountain pines, woodland trees, paths, fences, etc.
